Few things say more about a company's culture than when former employees choose to return.

After stepping away from Rokt to take a short-term role as PR & Media Manager for the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Aki Noguchi chose to return as Marketing Manager for Rokt Japan.

For Aki, the decision to return came down to the culture: a fast-paced environment that empowers people to own the outcome, work alongside talented colleagues across the globe, and deliver meaningful results for customers.

Aki Noguchi

I am Aki Noguchi. I am the Marketing Manager for Japan from the Tokyo office. I've been with Rokt for almost three years. Rokt is always welcome to have boomerangs like me back in the team, and since I rejoined it's been two months.

Rokt is a company which is really fast paced and who encourage their people to be empowered to own the outcome. Rokt has a lot of talent from different, very, very much diverse group of people. As a Marketing Manager, I have a lot of chances to work with London, Sydney, New York, which is really exciting for me.

Being Rokt'star means owning the outcome to deliver the result, which is the greater benefit for the customers together with a great team.

A place where ownership comes first

"I'd been with Rokt for almost three years," Aki says. After spending time away from the company, he recently returned to the Tokyo office. He says Rokt genuinely welcomes back "boomerangs," or employees who choose to return. It made him feel right at home from day one.

That openness stood out to him. It confirmed why he wanted to rejoin the team.

"Rokt is a company which is really fast paced and encourages people to be empowered to own the outcome."

Ownership is one of Rokt's core values, and it's something Aki experiences every day. Rather than waiting for direction, Rokt'stars are trusted to make decisions, move quickly, and focus on making an impact.

Building with talented people around the world

For Aki, one of the biggest highlights of working at Rokt is collaborating with colleagues across regions.

"Rokt has a lot of talent from a very diverse group of people," he says. "I have a lot of chances to work with colleagues in London, Sydney, and New York, which is really exciting for me."

Working across regions helps teams learn from one another, combine different perspectives, and solve customer challenges together.

What it means to be a Rokt'star

Being a Rokt'star isn't about individual success. It's about combining different strengths, supporting one another, and delivering better outcomes for customers. That's the culture Aki chose to rejoin.

We're proud to have Aki back on the team, and we're always looking for builders who are excited to collaborate across borders and make an impact.
