As we continue to unlock value in the Transaction Moment™ and expand globally, we’re proud to share some exciting leadership updates. These new appointments represent a significant step forward in scaling Rokt for long-term success operationally, financially, and technologically.
We’re entering a pivotal chapter, and these changes help ensure we’re set up to lead for decades to come.
Welcoming new financial expertise to our board and advisory group
Starting November 15, David Obstler, CFO of Datadog, will officially join our board of directors as Chair of the Audit Committee. At the same time, Matt Briers, former CFO of Wise, joins as a board advisor and observer of both the board and audit committee.
Both leaders bring deep financial, operational, and governance experience to Rokt; experience that will be essential as we continue scaling and prepare for a potential IPO.
David has served as a board advisor since 2021 and brings over three decades of finance leadership, including public company experience at Datadog, MSCI, and TravelClick. He also chairs the Audit Committee at Braze and sits on the boards of several private tech companies. Matt helped lead Wise through its direct listing on the London Stock Exchange and has held senior roles at Google, Lloyds Banking Group, and Capital One. Today, he sits on the board of Qonto and advises several fast-growing tech businesses across Europe.
“David and Matt are exceptional leaders with proven track records guiding companies through transformation, scale, and public-market success,” said our CEO, Bruce Buchanan. “We’re thrilled to welcome them and look forward to their support in helping Rokt grow even stronger.”
Elevating Reuben Kan and Jon Humphrey to lead innovation and execution
We’re also proud to announce two internal leadership promotions that reflect the incredible talent we have within Rokt.
Reuben Kan has been named our first-ever Chief Research Officer, reporting to Claire Southey, Chief AI Officer. Reuben will lead our long-term research strategy, with a focus on advancing our capabilities in AI, optimization, and large-scale systems architecture. He’s been instrumental in building our technical foundation and will continue to help shape the future of Rokt innovation.
“Reuben’s technical depth and creative problem-solving have fueled many of our most advanced innovations,” said Claire. “In this new role, I’m confident he’ll sharpen our research agenda and ensure Rokt continues to define the frontier of AI and ecommerce technology.”
Jon Humphrey has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations & Advertising. Jon now joins the executive committee and reports directly to Bruce. In this expanded role, he’ll oversee Rokt Ads in addition to leading Operations, Solutions, Launch, and Partnerships.
Jon has played a critical role in scaling Rokt Ads and driving stronger value delivery across our partner network. His deep understanding of our go-to-market execution and customer needs makes him the right leader to drive this next phase.
“Jon has been instrumental in strengthening how we deliver value to our partners,” said Bruce. “His leadership and commercial focus will be key as we continue to grow globally.”
Built to endure and lead
These leadership moves come on the back of another year of strong performance. In 2024, Rokt revenue grew more than 40% year over year to $600 million. In 2025, we’ll power more than 7.5 billion transactions across thousands of leading ecommerce businesses.
Our foundation is stronger than ever. With the right leaders in place, we’re accelerating toward our future, one where we continue to push boundaries, shape the future of the Transaction Moment, and unlock even greater value for our customers, partners, and teams.
