Today, Rokt announced that we are continuing the celebrations of our 10th anniversary by joining the Pledge 1%, a global movement designed to inspire, educate, and empower companies to make a positive social impact by donating 1% of their time, product, equity or profit to charitable initiatives of their choice. By joining the movement, we’ve committed to donating 1% of our product by placing personalized and localized Add to Card Donation offers for various charities across the billions of ecommerce transactions our technology powers. In addition, we’re committing 1% of profits to help improve access to education for underserved communities.
“We could not imagine a better way to celebrate our 10th year in business than by joining forces with Pledge 1% to give back and act as a force for good in our communities. Our hope is that through these initiatives, we unleash people’s potential and make the world a better place for all.” – Bruce Buchanan, Founder and CEO of Rokt
When Bruce Buchanan, Rokt’s Founder and CEO, started Rokt’s journey in Sydney in 2012, his aim was to solve the paradox of choice for ecommerce shoppers through the power of relevancy. Since then, Rokt’s machine learning has powered over 2.5B+ global transactions annually for 2,500+ of the world’s leading companies like Uber, Fanatics, Live Nation, AMC Theatres, PayPal, Hulu, Staples, Lands’ End, HelloFresh, and more.
This past year we’ve added Uber, AMC Theatres, and many other top ecommerce brands to our global client roster as companies across multiple verticals have focused on unlocking incremental revenue amid rising inflation and an uncertain economic environment. Currently valued at $2.4B, we have raised a total of $530M in funding. As part of our growth, we’re looking to be a Force for Good and give back to communities around the world.
“Rokt will not only make a positive impact through its product and profit donations, but also set an example that all of its partners can look up to. As an industry leader, Rokt is paving the way toward a brighter future where every company is committed to effecting positive change.” – Scott Farquhar, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Atlassian
Rokt started with just 10 employees but has grown to employ more than 400 Rokt’stars who serve clients across 14 global markets. We’ve opened offices in New York City, London, Singapore, and Tokyo with plans to open a second North American product development center next year. As we continue to grow in the ranks worldwide, we’re currently recruiting for more than 70 roles, even as other ecommerce technology companies are announcing significant layoffs.
By joining the partnership with Pledge 1%, we’re joining other top companies in an effort to give back to our communities near and far. This announcement is coming on the heels of a recent partnership with Pledge, an award-winning fundraising platform, to drive charitable giving through the Add to Cart Donations integration that launched last month. As we move into our next decade, we’re committed to being a Force for Good, and will continue working towards unleashing potential to make the world simpler and fairer.
