Not your average marketing buzzwords

To ensure that we are all speaking the same language, we’ve put together this handy list of Rokt terminology you should be familiar with:

Partners
Refers to Commerce clients, who install the Rokt widget on their sites.

Transaction Moment™
A state of mind consumers enter during the purchase journey when engagement and buying intention are at their highest.

Widget
The delivery mechanism for displaying Rokt’s content on a Partner’s website or app, which takes content from Rokt’s databases and presents the most relevant/ engaging message(s) to a consumer at the ‘Transaction Moment’. Technically, the ‘widget’ is prompted to load when a javascript code is triggered while a Partner’s webpage is loading.

Position
The number in which the offer is shown within a widget. Each widget typically displays four offers across four positions, however this varies based on the market and partner.

Referral
A consumer that has responded positively to an offer and opted-in to receive contact from you (email, phone campaigns, etc) or to visit your website (traffic campaign).

Open Audiences
A campaign with an audience that is completely open, i.e. no targeting.

Smart Bidding
A Rokt machine learning algorithm that automatically adjusts the maximum bid price for an audience to help you get as many conversions as possible at a target CPA.

One Platform
The Rokt platform used to manage all client campaigns, reporting, billing, and more!
