Revolutionizing Racing: A Recap of the Women Who Rokt Summit at the Miami Grand Prix

This past May, we hosted our first ever Women Who Rokt Summit. Held during the Miami Grand Prix race weekend, the event brought together trailblazing women from the world of motorsports and business. The summit, held in partnership with the Red Bull Academy Programme, highlighted the journey towards inclusivity and empowerment in racing and leadership. 

The evening included three inspiring conversations: one with female drivers and team leaders from the Red Bull Academy Programme, another with female industry leaders from Hello Sunshine, Vital Voices, Forbes, Formula 1 Academy, and Rokt, and a discussion with leaders from Visa and Ford around shaping the future of women’s sports.

“The Chase Is On,” a conversation on the dynamic pursuit of equality in motorsports and business

The first panel focused on the dynamic pursuit of equality in motorsports. It showcased how Formula One Academy is not only breaking barriers but also reshaping the narrative of women in these industries. The panelists included Sarah Harrington, Red Bull Academy Team Manager, and the incredible female drivers (who are also sisters): Hamda Al Qubaisi, Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme Driver, Amna Al Qubaisi, Visa Cash App RB Academy Programme Driver. 

The panelists discussed how Formula One Academy has provided an amazing platform for women in motorsports, giving them purpose and passion. They shared personal stories of overcoming challenges and cultural barriers, highlighting the importance of family support and role models in their journey. “Leading with Purpose: The Power of Role Models,” a conversation with women leaders 

The second panel, Leading with Purpose: The Power of Role Models” delved into how women leaders are reshaping the landscape of leadership and empowerment. The panelists, including Susie Wolff, Managing Director for Formula One Academy; Sarah Harden, CEO at HelloSunshine; Alyse Nelson, President and CEO of Vital Voices; and Srishti Gupta, Chief Product Officer at Rokt, shared their personal journeys and insights. They highlighted the importance of authenticity, empathy, and storytelling in driving meaningful change. The panel was moderated by Moira Forbes, EVP of Forbes Media and president and publisher of ForbesWomen.

“Brands shaping the future of womens’ sports,” a conversation on the importance of supporting inclusivity in sports and business

Women’s sports are a hot ticket item, and brands like Ford and Visa are writing the playbook for women’s sports sponsorship. Moderated by Julia George, Director of Partnerships at Red Bull Technology,  dicussed with Margie Pedder, Senior Director of Global Sponsorship Marketing at Visa, and Lisa Drake, VP of Programs and Energy Supply Chain at Ford, the importance of a woman’s perspective in promoting inclusivity in their businesses and sponsorships.

The Womxn Who Rokt Summit was a celebration of empowerment, resilience, and the incredible impact of women in motorsports and business. From breaking barriers to reshaping narratives, the panelists demonstrated the power of authenticity, empathy, and storytelling in driving meaningful change.

One thing is clear: the future is bright for women in these industries. We’re witnessing a defining moment when women are not just finding their place at the table but are also reshaping the table itself.
